Step 1- Log into your cPanel account
The first step to start this tutorial is to log into your cPanel account by entering your username and password.
Step 2- Tap on the File Manager icon
Look into the Files section in your cPanel home screen. In this section, you have to click on the File Manager icon.

Step 3- Directory Selection
When you click on the File Manager icon, the browser will take you to “Directory Selection”. There will be a dialogue box appear on the screen, where you have to log into. You have to choose We Root option to go to your public_html folder immediately. After that, click on the “Go” option on the bottom.
Step 4- Directories
In the File Manager interface, you can perform lots of functions. There is a “Directory Listing” on the left section of the cPanel File Manager and you can find a list of all the directories available in your account here. You need to click a folder on the left side and we have selected the “public_html folder” in our case.
Step 5- File Listing section
You will be able to find a list of all the folders and files in the folder you have selected on the right side. The files of your website should go into the “public_html” folder.
Step 6- Click on the upload button
You have to tap on the upload button above on the top of the File manager tool bar. This function can be used by you to upload files to your account.
Step 7- Create a New folder
There is a need to create a new folder in this step. First of all, you have to click on the “New Folder” option in the cPanel file manager, which can be seen in the File Manager tool bar. A new folder should be developed by a new folder button where your files can be stored.
Step 8- New folder name
A dialogue box will pop up as soon as you click on the “New Folder” button. You need to type the New Folder Name in the space offered to describe the location where it needs to be created. Now, you just need to click on the “Create New Folder” button. You can see that the new folder has appeared in your preferred location.

Step 9- Change Permissions
You can use cPanel File Manager interface to change the permissions of your folders and files. You need to click on the “change permission” button on the section “File Manager” tool bar in order to do so.
